The LCD Touch screen OEM has of late become the preferable option for those establishments, especially business forms that want to use custom designed touch screen LCDs. OEM is the acronym for Original Equipment Manufacturer. The LCD Touch screen OEM thus refers to those LCD touch screens that are ordered in bulk from a manufacturer and then tailor-modified for a particular application.
A good example could be a supermarket chain that wants to employ touch screen point of sale monitors. The supermarket’s management may approach a touch screen LCD manufacturer and order a bulk delivery of LCD Touch screen OEM products. The advantage here is that the products will be suited for that particular usage and that they OEM products are always cheaper than similar products on the retail market. Most manufacturers usually invite such firms to discuss the details of their custom ordered LCD Touch screen OEM products. Based on a firm’s requirements the manufacturer will determine the pricing of such an order individually.
